pig-tail catheter (돼지꼬리모양도관)
끝이 돼지꼬리모양처럼 말려있고, 여러개의 side hole들을 가지고 있어 삽입된 부위의 vessel wall에 영향도 적게 주고 drain에도 용이한 특성을 지님
대개, intrathoracic air 또는 fluid를 배액시키기 위해 사용 (thoracostomy보다 안전하고, 덜 침습적이라는 장점이 있음)
CT guidance percutaneous 10 French pigtail drainage was positioned into the fluid collection
After 15 days with the catheter in place, the fluid collection (*) has diminished in size.
